A Storied Tenure Celebrated

Laurence Richardson

As we close out another record year at
Metalworking Solutions we are going to say, “so long” to an awesome employee
and gentleman. When Laurence Richardson joined us in 2010 we were operating
with only 30,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space with 22
employees. Today we have 70 employees and over 85,000 square feet and our
business has grown over 400% during that time.

Laurence has played a key role in continuing to develop the culture we enjoy at Metalworking Solutions. He has hired most of the craftsmen in our organization and managed them well during the past seven years. In addition, Laurence has garnered the respect of our customer base with an ever-improving on-time deliver % each year of near 95% and a piece’s good percentage of 99.88%.

Laurence has served our company and our customers with excellence. We trust that we were able to imprint him in a similar positive manner as he did our organization. Laurence will be joining the executive team at Marketing Alliance as General Manager. From our perspective, the Marketing Alliance could not have chosen a more qualified or better professional. We are thrilled for them and Laurence, and are confident in their future success together.

While we are thankful for Laurence’s time with us, we are even more thankful for the team he has built that will continue his legacy. Laurence built a solid manufacturing team that will continue to improve and perform at the levels our customers have grown to expect. This is the Metalworking Solutions way. We do succession planning throughout the organization to protect our clients, our craftsmen, and stakeholders. In this way, we ensure that we are always able to celebrate the accomplishments of our people, even when that accomplishment leads them to new opportunities outside our immediate organization. Laurence Richardson will always be an honored Metalworking Solutions Alumni. One we are proud to call our very own and we can’t wait to see how well he does in this new position.

Expanding our Team

We are looking to expand our team in 2018. We have current openings on our Customer Service, Quoting and Estimating Team and we have an opening for a SolidWorks Draftsman/CNC Programmer. If you know of someone with these skills please forward our newsletter to them and have them click on the links to learn more.

A Time of Giving

Our team has partnered with the Chambliss Center for Children this year. We support the Center’s purpose in preserving family unity and helping prevent the dependency, neglect, abuse, and delinquency of children by responding to the community’s childcare needs. This Christmas season our employees broke into groups and have sponsored 11 children from three families selected by the Chambliss Center for us. It’s our aim to ensure these children have a wonderful Christmas. Our company has inquired on the needs of each family and will do our best to address many of those needs aiming our efforts at bringing more stability to these families during this special time of year.

Holiday Schedule

As we finish the year we want to remind you that the plant will be closed December 23rd through January 1.

We wish all of you the very best during the holiday season and look forward to serving you in the year to come.
