$3.5 Million New Equipment and Facility Expansion Nearing Completion

Chattanooga, TN August 9, 2016:  Metalworking Solutions specializing in sheet metal fabrication of OEM parts, announced today that they were nearing completion of their equipment and facility expansion initiative, which began implementation last Fall. Over $2.5 million of the initiative is in place and in production. The final phase of equipment should be implemented by the end of Summer. The addition to the facility should be completed and operational by Thanksgiving.

The company has added a high-speed fiber laser, two automatic material loading towers, two CNC press brakes, one with an automatic tool changer, and awaiting the arrival of an automated robotic welder. Construction has started on a 15,000 sq. ft. addition for raw material storage, and an 1800 sq. ft. pavilion outdoor employee area. Metalworking Solutions has added two new trucks to their delivery fleet as well.

Once the expansion is completed, Metalworking Solutions expects to grow their workforce between 10 to 20% during the following year. The majority of these positions will be in the plant as welders, press brake operators, laser operators, and equipment maintenance personnel.
